Jeeps normally like this?

Replaced my steering column a few days ago, and now all of a sudden the power steering pump is going out. Making a lot of noise.
Ah well. Another item to put on the list for the junk yard. Almost have this thing done too. Has sat basically for 3 years, with 7,000 miles put on it since 2007.

Yea, in the year I have owned mine it has been one part after the other for me. Its all been cheap parts. Most expensive part so far was my alt. for $120. Every thing has been easy to replace and nothing has left me stranded, not even the alt. Someone on this board said these engines are bullet proof, its just everything connected to the engine that fails...

I think I can attest to that.

I had an ignition coil die on me .8 mile from home.

Luckily for me it was downhill from there to my house, I just had to turn it around and coast back home.

I bought two coils, one to replace the dead one and one to keep as a spare.

Kinda like my old Chrysler days when you kept a spare ignition ballast resistor in the glove box!

I've gone through several forums making note of problem areas. Will be putting in new heater fan, and switches soon. ( seems like a lot of them going bad - mine is making a bearing noise )

Oh yeah, been there and still kind off.... lol. mine is daily driven so that really stinks. I have done in the last year:

1. total cooling system aka waterpump x2, hoses, thermo, belt x3, idler x3, radiator x2. Thankfully all warrantied but still sucked doing all those times.
2. both front wheel bearings
3. tires
4. coil springs, trac bar, sway bar discos, sway bar bushings, control arms, rear springs, hardware needed to do repairs. all to fix the prior owners poor home brew lift kit.
5. Sye kit and rear driveshaft
6. other stuff im sure i have forgot.

I think that's it for now. lol Im sure my power steering pump is on its way out too, belt is squealing again and it's either that or the water pump again... The trans doesn't like going into 2nd and 3rd nicely so more then likely it needs new syncros.
