Idle question...

Hey guys,

I've been wondering about this for a while and I have my ideas, but thought I should check in and see what everyone thinks.

E-85 Conversion http://www.change2e85.com/servlet/StoreFront

Yesterday the wife and I dropped the kids off with the grandparents and took a ride up to Crystal Mill to view the fall colors. (Pics soon on my Build Thread if anyone is interested.) Anyways, Jeep ran great the whole time. Here's the rub though. We stopped at the Mill to take some pics and fish, when we were all done we packed up the Jeep and hopped in. When I started it, the Jeep sounded like it was running rich. That's the only way I can think of to explain it. Hesitant and had very little power to start, but eventually it came back.

I know I show an E-85 conversion, but I am running straight gasoline. Spark plugs, cap, wires, all the tune up items are only 2 years old minimum. K&N was cleaned not too long ago. Sea Foamed a month ago. O2 sensors are 3 years old.

My thoughts are that I have a Cat approaching clogged status...or possibly that I have injectors going bad. This isn't the first time this has happened, it usually happens after my Jeep has been sitting for a long period of time. Such as going home after work. Only last's for like a quarter mile.

Thanks!

Elevation was not factored in. Your map sensor was attempting to adjust to the difference in elevation and the reduced atmospheric pressure. Once it adjusted then it ran great, right?

Ok...settle down guys, I meant maximum: (Less than 2 years old) My bad.
Spark Plugs: Installed new Autolites 2 months ago
Plug Wires: Installed new Napa brand a year and a half ago
Distributor and Cap: Installed new a year and a half ago

I put maybe 7K on my Jeep a year. Mostly 45MPH or less in town driving.
