Default Idle problems

it's like this.

if i start up the engine, it will run normaly, but when i have ben driving for a wile and stops, and put it in N or P, the RPM will increased to 1500 - 2000...

and some times when i start up the engien, it will blow up to 3000 RPM and stuck there....

what is the problem

check the exhaust manifold and/or gasket for starters. Easy way to find a leak there is to have the engine running, and spray starting fluid all around the gasket area. if it idles down to normal, you need a new gasket.

Itis 99.9% the simptoms of a bad idle stepper motor (IAC). Replace.

i got a sparepart Jeep - might can take it from that one. i dont know where it's at or how it looks do...

Yeah, it is..
Take it out, clean it with a toothbrush or something like it. Be careful not to move the pintle back or forth. I would also clean where it goes into your TB before installing.

ok, i took it of to look, i cant spin the thing around, i dont know if you shod be able to do that.

but i shod have one extra on my spear part jeep, as i hope works bether.
but the bolts is rounded on that one so need to drill them of.. Tomorrow that whod be.

i tried cleaning mine first and it fell apart, so be careful. So I had to replace it.

what is the TPS thing on the pic? do i need to fix that aswell? or only the idle motor thingy? :P

just tryd to clean it, and i think i did a good work, but it still dont work as it shod...

the "spike" on the motor - shod it be able to spin 360 degris? or just a little, coz mine just "spine" like 2 degris or somthing ^^

If you spin it with some pliers (very carefully) you sould be able to unscrew the pintle from the motor, but when i did that to clean it, it worked fine only one month, then i replaced it.
