I snapped the wire linking the CPS to its connecter. How screwed am I?
I removed the engine head and, while I had it disconnected it from the wiring harness, I accidently left the CPS's electrical connector attached to the head. And when a friend and I pulled the head off, I didn't see or feel it and it just broke the wire
Here's the worst part though, the wire broke at the exact point where it exits the bell housing. Is this going to be a big problem? Or can I repair it? |
you can repair it

nevermind, it was snapped at the CPS itself (I thought maybe the sensor was inside the bellhousing, and there was so much grease you couldn't see anything)
I was able to remove the CPS, it wasn't very hard with the head removed and with a good, stubby 3/8" ratchet. Guess I need a new CPS though |
It is maximum grease and dirt there.
