Right after they took off my old rim

I have a 1999 jeep Cherokee XJ and My back driver side tire is wobbly I heard it could致e been a bent rim so I went and got a new rim to put on my tire. I have the new tire and rim installed on to my car and after that I still have the wobble. people at the mechanic shop told me that it could be a bent axle because the break drums tighten up when you turn the wheel with it lifted in the air, but it has no play when you try to move the wheel left right or up-and-down so i didn稚 know if that would be a bent axle or not, but whatever it is how should I diagnose and how should I go about fixing that?

Since you have wobbles with both rims, I think you have already diagnosed it. But you could put it in gear while on stands and watch the axle flange to see if it wobbles. I cannot see which rear end you have, but probably a D35. There are plenty of used axles available in the wrecking yard for donors

Dial gauge on the outside of the rotor. It will tell you fast if something is bent.

To be clear, did you get a new tire too? The brake DRUMS tighten up or a brake DRUM tightens up? Is the brake drum(s) warped? When it's up in the air and you're spinning the wheel can you see the tire wobble?
