i have a question
 

I have looked high and low on this web site for a place to put a question in. guess the web site is like owning a jeep confusing and never works quite rite. my question is my wife has a 2000 jeep Cherokee right hand drive for delivering mail. the turn signals quit working a few weeks age and I have replaced the flasher relay and the turn signal switch, now the flashers kind of work some times but still no turn signals. I don't have a owners manual so I pulled every single fuse I could find between the two fuse panels and none of them are blown. is there anything else I should look for before I tear into the wiring harness looking for a broke wire? please email me at jacobdickmyer@yahoo.com since I cant seem to figure this forum thing out. thank you I don't mean to piss off any jeep people out there with my comment its not a problem with just jeep its chysler in general.

Sorry, I don't have a lot of insight into the '00 but I personally wouldn't rip into the wiring first thing unless you have some reason to believe it is messed up. I would check wiring and bulbs for good connections and corrosion. Hopefully someone will get on with more specific suggestions.

Check:
1. Bulbs
2. Sockets
3. Any water leaks
4. Check the bulkhead connector for corrosion.
Not confusing, just have to diagnose in steps, simple - more complex.
When you replaced the multifunction switch was the old one defective?

The bulbs are not blown, the 4 ways work some times all the switch connections are clean. I aint got no collage education so my grammar may not be the best, but my momma taught me if I aint got no insight don't open my mouth. Thank you.

By grammar I meant caps, periods, sentences etc. and lo and behold, you got it right on in the final post. I wasn't trying to be an *** or facetious, just making a comment that is the literal truth about getting helpful replies on most of the forums.

Have you looked at the blinker relay(s)?
As above the bulkhead connection.
If neither of these solve your problem the ignition switch assembly may be going out, all things related run through this.

Thank you for the answers to my question. According to my Haynes repair manual this year has a combination flasher that takes care of both functions. Can you explain what the bulkhead connector is? I'm reading into the manual more but can't seem to find that.

Also how would I go about testing the ignition switch? I'm thinking unplug the multi function switch and make sure it's getting current?
