Default Hydraulic line connection

My '93 XJ is a 2.5L with an AX5 trans. A while back I lost pressure in the clutch hydraulic line and found a strange sort of snap fit connector at the (external) clutch cylinder. It had failed and was loose but was very hard to remove. It was pressed into the plastic/nylon line so I assume the entire line has to be replace as a unit. Since that was not an option at the time, I cut the connector off and joined the line to the metal pipe to the cylinder with a short length of injector hose and ran a series of hose clamps along it's length to reinforce it. That was six weeks ago and although it has continued to hold pressure, I feel like I'm on borrowed time. The problem is I'm not finding this part anywhere online including local parts houses. The "engineer" who thought up this wretched little piece of crap should have it stuffed up his "poo hole" and set on fire. Can I replace this thing with a more typical line and connector without removing and dismantling the clutch cylinder and possibly the master cyl.? And if not, where can I get another oem type of part, aside from the dealership? Thanks in advance.

You can try the jy. Its a pressure fitted line. They make a tool that presses into it to disconnect it . You can pick them up for around $5 at any parts store.

Thanks Troy, seems like every time I start thinking I know something about cars, it turns out that may not be the case.
