Hub issue

I have a 98xj I was walking by it in the driveway and noticed the wheel well was wet like it was flinging oil. The axle shaft is dry as is the brake line. Their is a thin layer of fluid on part of the rim and tire and some of the rim looks as if something ran down it. So my question is can the bearing hub assembly leak fluid? Ive owned alot of vehicles and have never seen this before. Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts.

Maybe a animal pissed on it? Lol never know

It's probably brake fluid

My guess would be the axle seal. Check the fluid in the diff. If low add some and it wil come out on the inside of the rim
