Very strong...will take a rock hit.
The BOLTS wont though. It uses some pretty small bolts across the front. The sides are stronger and hold up. Snaps the fronts though.
And as said..on a lifted jeep its useless pretty much.
Lower jeeps, it protects the steering a bit and radiator.

The lower part of the front crossmember is under the radiator, which is ALOT more than can be said for a TJ, which HAS NO protection for the lowest part of the radiator otherthan a skid plate. It does help the steering, even at 5" of lift, provides a smoother ramp area for sliding up/over things (like the afore mentioned TJ), and helps to slow down the intrusion of water/mud in the front of the engine bay.

sorry can't help you on that one.
Mine had some crazy studs under the radiator and bolts on the sides.
I ended up snapping off 2 of the studs so while I had my radiator out, I punched them out and just used bolts that fit. Same with the sides.
Right now, I don't even have it installed cause I put the sway bar drop brackets on and it wont fit with those.
