how to replace rocker pannels??
Hey I just got a 1990 jeep cherokee 4 door and i was wondering how to replace the rocker pannels.

well the technical way is drill out all the spot welds (from the outer panel do not go all the way through) and remove the outer panel check the inners and if all is good then drill out holes in your replacement part ( if it's new JC whitney sells this stuff pretty cheap) and weld em back on at the holes and across your cut line. you can but weld it (if your a decent welder), make a backing plate and weld at the cut lines or you can leave a little extra and overlap the edge of the new panel and use a small area above the cut line as a backing plate for your weld a little grinding and some light bondo work to even out the surface primer and paint.(make sure you clean up the metal before you start welding I know this should go without saying but well just in case anyone didn't know)
