How to remove the glove box
 

I am trying to remove the glove box on a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Country. I've removed all the screws that I can see. I've read that the entire dash board has to come out in order to remove the glove box. Is this true or only part of the dash and if so, which part. I know that the lower part of the dash (where the ash tray is) had to be unscrewed to get to some of the screws that hold the glove box in, but now I can't pull it out. If anyone can help I'd appreciate it.
