How many catalytic converters on a 2001?

I see two baby cats before the last two o2 sensors and a larger one under the jeep. Are these all catalytic converters or ?

as I understand it the two small ones are mini cats and im not sure if all 01s had them or they are for cali emissions....

Mine has spent it's entire life in Minnesota, but I suppose it's possible all of the 2001 were built cali compliant (end of the run).

my 2000 had the reduced emission setup and not sure where it was built but I read somewhere if you have more than two o2s its cali emissions. my fiances wj is 2000 and its the same so maybe they made all 00-01 like that....maybe some others could chime in and say what they got on exhaust say 99-01...

It's got 4 o2's, 2 up and 2 down by the mini-cats. I was looking it over last night because I changed the upper 2 sensors, plus it hit 50 degrees in Minnesota yesterday (no need to move to Florida to retire). They supposedly are the ones that manage the engine, the lower ones just let you know if the cat is working.

It's looking a little rusty under there and I'm starting to think about replacing the exhaust from the big cat back. The sensors are on the small ones. How does it work if you have a single cat, are the o2 sensors in front of or behind it?

How many catalytic converters are on a 2000 jeep grand Cherokee v6?

There are only 2 cats on the 01....they are built into the exhaust manifold thats why you have all your O2 sensors up there. 2 pre and 2 post sensors...the large can further back is called a resonator..im pretty sure there is no "cat" material in it

Best to ask in the Grand Cherokee section: https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f5/

There isn't any V6 in a 2000 Grand anyway!
