Default How do I tell which rear axle I have?

I did an 2" add a leaf lift on my 94 cherokee and I want to replace the axle U bolts.

I found this on quadratech, but it doesn't say what they are measuring:
90-01 w/ Dana axle 3.18"” wide 56009 06
91-01 w/ Chrysler 8-1/4" axle 3.55"wide 52449 1062
I measured the current bolts and they are 3 1/4" center to center and 2 7/8" Inner diameter.

Has anyone else figured this out before?

Thanks!

If you contact Jeep at the link above and ask for a build sheet they will send a list of everything your Jeep came with from the factory. It would tell you what axles it left the factory with not really needed in this case but still cool to have.

The dana 35 and the chrysler 8.25 actually look pretty similar. I'll check it out when I get home tonight.

I have the same rear axle, I knew it wasn't a Dana 35 because Dana 35 is a "rounded bottom girl" and my axle is flat like the one in the picture. The question is, is putting a lift on a Chrysler Axle worth it or should I invest in a larger axle. I would say "Thread Jacked" but it's along the same thread topic, just more about "ME!"

FYI, if you haven't changed out the rear diff fluid, I say the front axle is a lot easier to pry off than the rear axle, and sadly the rear one comes with a plastic cap not metal
