un hook battery,, remove skid, unplug wiring and hoses to pump, spin lock ring counter clockwise, remove old in sert new reinstall lock ring, hook up lines and wires reconnect batterty check for proper function reinstall skid . thats how easy it is you may have to jack up xj depending on if theres a lift kit installes or not and how full the tank is effect install time,http://www.lunghd.com/Tech_Articles/...eplacement.htm

i just replaced mine last night. stock set up. dropped the tank, swapped it out. took me and my dad about an hour to do the job. really easy, need a jack to help lower the tank. just remember what wires go were. maybe take a before pic if this is the first time doing the job so you dont forget what goes where. no need to unplug the battery if you just unplug the pump wires.

I did mine just by sliding under it and pulling it out. Stock height with sagging leafs and a tank skid. Didn't drop the skid or tank. I might have jacked the rear, I don't remember. Though jacking it and letting the suspension uncompress would give you more room to work with. Took about half an hour.

USE A NON-SPARKING DRIFT LIKE A BRASS ROD TO HAMMER THE RING!!

30 minute job max. Got under there with a flat head screw driver and a hammer and pulled off the hoses unhooked the electical part. hit the ring to make is slid counter clock wise then to the rubber gasket off and then installed the new one
