Trying to take the alternator off to do a swap and I can't get that son of a witch bottom bolt...heated it, tightened it cussed at it...I hate it. So I just wanna take the whole assembly off since that's what I'll be doing anyway to swap the new alt...thanks

I can't even detension the belt...I know there's the "de-tensioner" pulley on the right and I seen one of the mechanics at the dealership detention the belt right before my eyes and I can't remember exactly how he did it but he didn't remove anything...I can't get a wrench down on the bolt cause of the damn fan

I usually just pull the e-fan out to get easier access to the idler pulley. As far as the alternator what specifically are you having trouble with? It's been a little since I did mine but you can either unbolt it from the bracket which is probably the easiest or unbolt the bracket from the block.

At this point I need to unbolt the bracket from the block cause the bottom alt bolt is froze...
The whole assembly rocks a little but I cannot for the life of me figure out how it should all come out
It all needs to come out anyway so I can mod the bracket for my Durango alternator

If my memory serves, getting the alternator in an out was a bit of a pain without the bracket. When I did mine I removed/installed the bracket and alternator separately. Have you tried the big *** breaker bar method? With enough leverage something will give.

Well that's the other issue I'm limited to my garage floor... Can't get leverage...it's soaking in pb right now...
First couple attempts have left it a little rounded but I'm using some gripping wrenches now...so yeah basically if it was possible to get the whole thing out I'd be in business but idk what to do now
