Hello,

I have a 95 Cherokee Sport 2wd auto that is 99% stock. I plan to convert it to 4wd this year, but would first like to install a decent locker in the rear.

Is there a fairly painless way for me to discover what rear end / gears I have so I can order the right locker for it?

There's about 1987.6 threads made on the subject of "what kind of axle/what gearing do i have". Try using the search bar at the top of the page.

Also, you'd probably be better off selling your 2wd for a 4x4, it's much easier and less painful than converting.

And I'm curious about what the 1% aftermarket is on your jeep....lol

oh, 3.55 if you have a 4.0. Conversion is not that bad if its not your D.D. if it is start with the axle bolt in on a weekend and just drive it with the 4x4 axle to you get the time to swap the trans and tranfer case.
