Default How to buy new vacuum hose for fuel pressure regulator?

I have a 92 i6 xj. The connector on the hose that runs from my intake manifold to my pressure regulator is gone. How do I go about replacing this? The hose is plastic with rubber ends. Do I just buy a new rubber end like these here? Do I need to buy a whole new hose, and if so, what would it be called and where could I get it?

I have no idea how long it's been leaking, but I think it may be the cause of a lot of the symptoms I've been suffering from for a long time.

Thanks for the help.

Really you don't need anything special, just so it's connected so it doesn't chafe on something or get in the way. I'd just fit some vac line myself. On mine the manifold fitting is smaller than the regulator. A short, (1/2 in?) piece/stub of small line on there might make it the right size to just run a line from there to the regulator. Vacuum seals really well as long as it's snug. (the vacuum makes it fit tighter). I've seen posted a few times Napa caries the actual right stuff, maybe the rigid line with the correct bends. I wouldn't bother myself. Just my .02... You DO want that hooked up, your fuel pressure is to high!

Btw, I have heated and bent that ridged stuff for my map tube. Idk, I'd just run line though.

Thanks for the reply.

On mine, the manifold port is about twice the size as the regulator port. There's also some pretty wicked bends. I'm hoping I can find a replacement for the old rubber plug on the plastic hose. The plastic hose and the rubber plug on the manifold side seems to be in pretty good shape.

I didn't smell or see any gas that would indicate the fpr being bad, as that could cause it to deteriorate. I might try to test it with a fuel pressure gauge if I can get hold of one...after I replace the vacuum hose of course.

I used to deliver newspapers and my jeep would run for hours ever night. It cost me a third of my paycheck in gas. This might be the reason.

Get 2 vacuum hoses and push one in another. Use dishwasher fluid to make them slide

I found the pack of 4 connectors that I linked to. I used the one with the tightest fit. I had to cut the old piece off, but I had a razor blade on hand and it wasn't a problem. The package was only $3.20 in the advance auto parts. The fuel regulator is on the fuel rail in position where a vacuum hose would have to do a tight 180% turn. I thought a regular vacuum hose might crimp so these rubber connectors seem to be a good solution.
