How to bleed clutch on 1999 Cherokee?
Hi everyone! I have a 1999 Jeep xj with an ax15 5spd. Just recently, the clutch is having an issue where it will sometimes not engage, the pedal will go flat (especially in traffic) and I am unable to shift, but then after a few mins it will fix itself and regain presssure and works normally. I believe there is air in the lines. I can’t seem to find the bleeder valve to let the air out. Anyone know how to bleed these systems?? Thanks

On the back top side of the slave cylinder, there is a little Allen wrench style set screw. That is your bleeder valve. It's not ideal but it's all you got.

It's not all that expensive to buy a new clutch master/slave set, that might be what I would do. Then there's no screwing around with rusted out bleeder screws and you'll have a nice tight responsive pedal again.
