Default Hood vents vs. TPS

I just picked up some lebaron hood vents. This link says if you install towards the middle and top of the hood, you'll need to replace the TPS frequently. Any thoughts?

Is your XJ a DD or a trail rig? It's been an extremely rainy season in Colorado.

I have Z34 hoodvents. They have drip trays. If you have water dumping on your TPS It is not a matter of If it goes out it is a matter of WHEN it goes out. You have to direct the water away from it or you will find yourself stranded one day.

Got'em through a friend of a friend. Pretty lucky too. I go to the pull n pay in Aurora and their vehicles w/ vents and XJs are either always the same or stripped right away. Check ebay, I've seen a few pairs posted.
