Forgive me, I searched the forums and although I found plenty of related threads I couldnt fine one specifically like mine.

My hood has difficulty latching on the driver's side only. It will latch, but you have to SLAM the hell out of it which can only lead to additional problems in the long run I'm guessing. I'm clueless. Do I need shims, new latches, strikeplates...I'm lost fellas? Thanks in advance for the help.

 

Try lubricating every moving part. See if that helps.
