Hi-Lift jack with stock front/rear bumpers on 2000 Jeep Cherokee
I just bought a 48inch Hi-Lift jack and currently only have stock front and rear bumpers on my 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport. I am looking to upgrade to the Smittybilt XRC Cherokee bumpers this summer.
I tried to use the Jeep stock jack under the rear seat recently to lift to replace my brakes. I was not able to lift the Jeep at all and ended up bending the metal bar that was included (glad I never broke down and had to replace the tire).
Can I use the jack on the stock bumpers or do I need to purchase a Hi-Lift Jack® Lift-Mate or the Hi-Lift Jack® Bumper Lift Attachment?

i have when i was hopelessly stuck and had no other options. bent the stock bumpers up pretty good and it was kinda sketchy. i wouldnt recommend doing it unless you have no other options. try cleaning the stock bottle jack up- i still use mine for trail repairs even on 35s and it works great.
