Smile Hi! I'm New Here!!!1!!

Greetings from MMA.TV, Clublexus.com, and Okfightnews.com . . .

My name is Josh and i'm an alcoholic..

.
.
.
.

But really, I have a POS 90 cherokee that I am fixin' to tear into and i'd thought I would let all of you guys have your say as to what I should do and how!

Think of it as a forum ride! (that's hideous to look at or even worse, be seen in..)

Okay, before I turn the ball over to you all here are the rules (so to speak..)

It is not going to be some full time rig, I only am wanting to put on 33's, and maybe swap the rear for an 8.8

I have access to some metal (thank you work!) and some other neat things so I will be throwing in my own mix every now and again. .

Nothing crazy with the cash flow.. I have a 2 month old and well if you have kids you understand.. (not to mention the cost of gas these days..) SO KEEP IT CHEAP!!!!

I will take some "beauty" shots tomorrow,.,. Until then, here is a partial list of what I have so far.

2 inch rear rancho springs
u-bolts
32x12.50 r15 all terrains
4 inch front rusty's off road springs
gas tank skid plate
front and rear sway bars

What it needs. . (oh man oh man)
fix teh driver side door - outside handle not workie. .
fix oil leak
paint
rear bumper
some sort of performance mod

Keep in mind, i'm a cheap bastid who is paying for my son's future. .

Thanks guys!!!!

First thing, new spare!! Just kidding! LOL!! You could start with a set of shackles to increase the lift in the rear so it matches the front better. Are you planning to put gears in it? If so you could throw a couple of L.B. lockers at it while you where in there. I would definetly look into some better control arms, the factory ones suck!! Some kind of skid plates for motor and tranny, and you could drag yourself up some pretty hardcore stuff. I am not sure what kind or wheeling you're into, so it will be hard to know what terrian to build for. Mud, Rocks, etc... Hope this helps!!

I am going to be putting either 33's or 32's. I can fab a skid plate for it, I just need the blue prints.

My offroading terrain will be mild to sometimes nuts. . nothing outta your mind crazy but you get it.

I want to put in an 8.8 and see what 4.10 gears do for the rig.. ..

I'll take a pic of all the stuff I already have tomorrow so you guys will have more to base off of.

Oh and be open as to what I should do!! Should I makes some Lower Control Arms?? I can do it, but like the skid plates, I need some blue prints.

HOLLA!!

Nice place to start. I have a '90 too but mine is..............can you guess...............Blue.
I have an auto and a 242 but that looks like a great platform to start your build from. Keep us posted on what you are doing to it and what the next step is going to be. Take plenty of pictures. That was something I didn't do and really regret it, so learn from my goof up and take pics to share with us all.

with the 2" rear springs I'd get some 1.5" lift shackles to level it out with the 4" front springs. Then trim your fenders and it it should be good to go for fitting 33's with room to flex. Only issues I'd see is: longer break lines - YJ lines work great and are cheap, Trac-bar - can just be re-drilled for only a 4" lift, LCA's usually max out at 4" lift and will probably need to be replaced, Also you might need to look into a 1" TC drop if you get drive line vibrations from the lift. You can do all that for probably less than 150 if you do it your self and buy used stuff off forums. All that with the 33's you got would make one bad trail rig.

Edit - sorry I forgot to mention shocks, but you can get some cheap ones for like 30 bucks a piece.
