Default Help with tire size

Hey

I have a 3" rough county lift on my xj ....has any one ran 31x11.50-15 tires with this lift or has anyone run 32x11.50-15 .......I found a good deal on some maxis mudzillas in 31x11.50-15 I have stock rims......I am not as concerned about the fender as i am about the tire rubbing something while turning ...Should I get different wheels and change the backspace or rin spacers .... Please dont anyone get on a soap box about running 11.50 on 7" rims I have done it before and it works........ any help would be awesome....please post pics if you have this on your cherokee thanks

31" s fit fine but rub on the lower control arms on the stock rims. need rims w/ 3.25" min. backspacing to fix problem or spacers. 32" s will fit but rub on fenders but you could trim your fenders if your determined to get em'
I have 31x10.5 R15 on stock rims with a 3" RC lift and still rub on control arms...

You mean 4.5" MAX, not 3.25" min... the less backspacing there is, the furhter away from the control arms... so 3.25" would stick out even further. If you plan on flexing it you'll probably need to trim and bumpstop.

you could fit 35's if you wanted with the right backspacing fendertrimming and bumpstops. go with 33s you wont regret it.
