help: Timing Problem or something

i have a 95 cherokee auto 4.0L engine. Recently i broke the distributor and motor mount after a wheeling accident.i put on a new distributor and engine mount. the problem is when im driving it feels different. The jeep has a ticking noise when i accelerate. dont know if the timing is wrong or not. also the jeep seems like its not shifting right or something. when i go up hills it wont accelerate like it used to. something is wrong but i cant point out what it is. any help will be useful
