window switch (need help)

window switch (need help)
I have a 96 cherokee, the drivers window quit working,all other windows work fine.Before it totally quit you could push in on the back of the switch panel and it would work.Any suggestions on what could be the problem,and what year XJ will the switch panels or switches work on the 96 model, and can I just replace the single switch or will i have to get the whole cluster including door locks

Mine did this too. Pull the whole thing out and check the connections and make sure none of the wires are broken. I actually had quite a few wires that were broken down where the wires come through the opening by the fuse panel. Check the local junk yard if it is the switch and it will be the whole assy.
