Default Help with regulator removal

Changing the manual window regulator in my 94. I am trying to remove the bolt that removes the window from the regulator but its just spinning. How am I supposed to do that without replaceing the window. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The reason why I am changing it is it only goes down halfway then gets stuck and you have to pull the window with your hand while cranking it to get it back up.

There should be a plastic flag nut on the backside of the Torx that goes through the pane. Do you have room to hold the backside as you turn the torx?

Yes if I roll the window down a bit. What I believe are the door crush beams are in the way higher up. What should I hold the retainer with???

Whatever you have..

Try lightly clamping vice grips over both sides of the plastic collar/nut/window. Then turn the torx out.

I ended up getting it. Instead of clamping it I found there was a small manufacturing hole in the retaining plastic and I used vise grips holding a allen wrench to keep that plastic piece from moving. Worked like a charm. I am now jealous of how smoothly the passenger side rolls up and down. The drivers side works fine but it gets harder towards the bottom.
