Help Please!
How's it going CF? I'm fairly new to this forum, (just made an account today) and I had a few questions. Hopefully you guys could help me out. So my Jeep was in Austin, Texas for a while which was where I lived before relocating to El Paso, Texas. While up there my Jeep started losing power while I was giving it gas and it sounded really choppy. It eventually got to the point when I was droving it home that it no longer wanted to go past 15mph. It idled like crap, didn't want to move much so I replaced the fuel pump, gas in tank, and fuel filter. Problem solved! About a week later the same problems started. So I towed my Jeep down to Odessa, Texas on my way to El Paso where my grandfather said he'd look into it. He told me that it was the fuel pump.
So there I went again to the store and replaced the fuel pump and fuel pump! Sweet!!! Problem solved. I drove my Jeep down to El Paso, and about a week into my stay here same problems AGAIN!!! Can anyone help me out with this? It's really frustrating.
I attached a picture of my Jeep so you can see it. Nothing fancy, all stock.

What kind of pump you using? Also check the voltage from your ballast resistor on the driver side inner fender (engine bay). Third thing would be your tank being full of crap.

if he changed the fuel in the tank would that have gotten rid of the potential crud in there?
dirt plugging filter, thus over working pump and burning it out.
kink in fuel line, thus over working pump and buring it out.

Just draining the tank doesn't always get all the sludge and crap out. There's a possibility if he's using airtex he got two bad pumps. Also if the ballast resistor is putting out to high of voltage for some reason it could burn it out...

Sometimes I'll do some regular maintenance if I don't see the problem right off. Stuff I need to do anyway. Gap the plugs, clean the cap/rotor/wires. Filters. Sometimes when my 90 is grumpy I'll disconnect the battery for a bit. Reboots the computer? Also an easy check is the connection to the CPS there back by the back of the valve cover. Also I have one local gas station I avoid after finding loads of additive separating (ethanol?). Thats here in CA though. Check that the wires to your injectors are properly routed, not grounding. Unlikely, but a supper easy check. Then everybody is always talking about grounds. That single braided cable from the valve cover to the firewall doesn't always do the job.

I'm using a fuel pump from Bosche. It's the second one I use on the Jeep. Both were new too. I'll check the voltage too.

Noted slick, and thanks again. Am learnin all I can from you guys. I swear sometimes when my idle goes high crashing/rebooting it straightens it out, must be coincidence. Yea, Kid, slick knows his stuff. That pump resistor is ceramic, on the front left. I think its the (front?) should be hot, (running), and the rear sends the 9 to the pump.
Yea doing the regular stuff that needs done anyway lets you rule some stuff out. Nobody mentions a fuel flow rate test I notice.
