Ive got a ticking noise under hard acceleration like when going in to passing gear I originally thought it was an exhaust leak but Ive been reading the threads and I think there are a lot of guys with lifter tick what do you guys think .....Its not louder when the engine is cold like a exhaust leak so im now leaning to lifter tick .....any help would be great

 

are you positive it's not the intake gasket blown out on the exaust port?

 

Nope.....could be the exhaust gasket.....Ive got a 68 mustang and it kinda sounds like it with a blown exhaust gasket( had a warped header and it blew gaskets regular).....but the mustang made the sound through the entire rpm range....this jeep only makes the noise under acceleration when cruising speed it goes away
