Default HELP! injector replacement problem, needs fixed before tomorrow

Hey everyone, Im in the middle of replacing my fuel injectors and I cant get them to fit back into place into the intake. Do I just need to push harder? I sprayed a little WD40 on the orings. Which side is better to install them on first, the manifold side or the fuel rail side?

Thanks everyone

Here is what the FSM says:

INSTALLATION
(1) Install fuel injector(s) into fuel rail assembly
and install retaining clip(s).
(2) If same injector(s) is being reinstalled, install
new o-ring(s).
(3) Apply a small amount of clean engine oil to
each injector o-ring. This will aid in installation.
(4) Install fuel rail. Refer to Fuel Rail Installation
in this section.
(5) Start engine and check for fuel leaks.

Use a bit of vaseline on the orings.

I always install the injectors to the fuel rail first, then firmly push the assembly into the intake from the center out towards the ends.

i dont think wd40 is good for them at all (drys them out). when i upgraded mine, i used a bit of ATF, but vaseline works also. I put mine into the rail first (hard to do with the new orings) and then firmly pressed all 6 into the intake, wiggled them a bit to make sure they were seated properly and then put the bolts back in and hooked the wires up.

hope this helps

A little late to the party but if any part of the o-ring rips off, pull the injector and replace the o-ring. Hard lesson learned by me.
