Hard one to explain but here goes.................
We are running a 1994 Cherokee 4.0 Limited RHD with 111k miles. Starts 1st time every time and the engine is perfect. However...............
When we start to accelerate from 0-20mph in a straight line and especially around corners there is an awful "grinding" sound coming from the drivers side Rear corner. As the speed increases this noise disappears and does not show itself at any other time, only under acceleration on the one corner from 0-20mph. No whining, the noise goes after 20mph. 4 wheel drive system works perfectly. Any ideas?

Does the noise change or go away if you step on the brake? Have you looked at the brake hardware and such to make sure nothing's scraping?

Most likely your e brake bad on your drums or the shoes themselves, I had the same problem and just went ahead and replaced both and it's been fine ever since
