I'm running 31's with 3.55's. And my speedo is off exactly 5.5% at all speeds (confirmed with my gps).

Haven't calculated my new mpg yet. I'm guessing it won't be very good this first time around cause I lost a lot of gas out the tail pipe! Before the switch I was getting a pretty consistent 13.5-14.3. The guy at the dealership said it will be around 500 miles before the PTM relearns everything. He said it not only relearns the fuel input but it also learns shift points too which I thought was interesting.

But seriously it feels like a whole new engine in there! Amazing! I'm trying to keep my foot off the petal cause MPG was one thing I was hoping to improve with the switch...it's hard though cause the thing goes!

Thanks for the tip on gas in the crank case, I'll check it out!

Wow Jim, you are good! I checked the dipstick and the oil was very wet and I could smell gas really strong. I'll be getting an oil change tomorrow! Thanks for the tip!

Great to hear that you "got through" it.

I've been thinking about swapping out mine...but have been a little afraid...Did you, by chance, take a few pictures you could post??

My gas milage has gone from about 18-20 MPG down to about 15-17 MPG over the last 2 years.

Glad you caught it. Gas is not a very good lubricant. I've learned this from close to 30 yrs being a mechanic. It still amazes me how quick the oil can get diluted. Have fun with the new found power! Keep an eye on the oil for a bit just to make sure there's no problems til the ECM gets stuff sorted out. Thanks for the info on the injector swap, been thinking about doing it on my 01, might be a good time to try it.

No I didn't take any pictures...sorry, I should have. One thing that would have made the swap a LOT easier was to have the fuel quick disconnect tool. I have the service manual and it said there were a number of options the fuel line could be connected. 4/5 didn't require a special tool but mine did. I spent an hour just trying to get the fuel line disconnected without the tool and realized it wasn't going to happen. I cut corners on cleaning injector seat because I had a hard time getting in there without being able to take the rail out. I had to take everything out again and clean around them really good because the injectors didn't get a good seal.

For the second time around I got the tool and everything was waaay easier. I got the tool at Harbor Freight for $10.

I would highly recommend getting this tool if you have the quick disconnect fuel line! If you have that, a little motor oil to lube the new injectors, and you take the time to clean out the seats where the injectors go you should have no problem!

Well my friends, I have great news! Just as I suspected my fuel economy was horrible right after my change at 11.6 MPG. I just filled up today and while prolly 3/4 of the miles were highway, my MPG was 17.6!!! I have never been able to get that! The highest I've ever seen was 14.8! I'm pleased with the switch! It seems that the ECM is pushing for economy cause the engine has lost a little of its "pep" but it still moves better than it did before when I punch it. Fuel economy was the reason for my switch anyway!

I've tried both the Ford orange tops and the Chrysler 784 injectors and I've had no MPG gains. They flow the same, you're not saving gas, either your driving style has changed because you're expecting some kind of "change" or you have just shook God's hand.
