HELP!! Engine module

Want to put an engine module on my ecu to track my engine stats but I don't know where the connection is. It's an '89 Cherokee limited 4.0

Nothing will be able to read the ECU on an 89 Cherokee.

There is a procedure to get it to output on the odometer I believe but other than that your pretty much out of luck. Cruiser54 is the resident expert on your generation xj. He will probably have more advice when he sees this thread.

Ok thanks man! I just wanted to see if I could keep track of my engine output to make sure everything is working properly.

If you want to know how your engine is doing get an oil analysis done. It will tell you what is going on inside the engine better than any computer ever will.

Buy a SnapOn MT2500 with the proper adapters like freegdr has then.

You have no Check Engine Lights BTW.

Damn that explains a lot. And I do want to read live data only. How much does that attachment cost?

you could always add an air/fuel gauge and add in another O2 sensor for it to read.

Max

What are these for? They aren't connected to anything and are next to the wiring setup near the battery on the passenger side of the engine.
