If it got hit that hard the unibody/frame is probably gonna be bent. If you got hit by an F-150, why isn't the F-150 drivers insurance paying to fix it?

To answer your question though, it's from 1997-2001 that are the same body style.

The Cherokee is also not his, so maybe that rule doesn't apply. Not registered to the person in the crash.

Edit: Wait a minute, your friend's gonna find out in about...a few days? Won't the insurance company notify him...probably a.s.a.p?

Just to kinda answer.. SOME parts will work but not alot of the body, my 89 has a different outside shell than yours, and some parts are not interchangable w/o some work.. But I would say if your trying to get it fixed fast goto a junk yard and start looking dont ask us as we cant see the dammage and too many parts are in question...

Auto Insurance ONLY covers people on the policy. If your name was not on the policy then your pretty much screwed. And there is absolutely nothing I can do for you. Good luck

Remind me to never loan you my car. Nice that you're hoping he never finds out. Some friend you are. You sound like a dolt to me, and I hope he discovers that fact.

Some policies allow for others to drive and still be covered as an occasional driver, and it all depends on the insurance company as well. It could be a whole different ballgame in the States though. My insurance policy states that the driver has to be over the age of 21 to be considered an occasional driver.
