Hey guys got a problem , went through some mud puddles today in my 93 jeep goin down the road heding home my check engine light comes on n my volt gauge goes down to 10-11 , took it to advance auto to have it checked , they said my battery was good but my alturnater was not reading at all , drove home witch was about an hr drive stopped at another advance auto to check it said the same thing , got home n realized that I never put back the rubber engine gard underneath , so the entire engine was covered in mud . So I got my power sprayer out n cleaned the engine off had it running while doin this . Focused on spraying the alturnater down when I was done the check engine light was off n my volts were up , an hr later went to the store n back to the engine light being on n the volts being back down to 10-11 . So freakin confused , thought it may be a wire but can't find any . Any thoughts ?????
