I had I terrible time getting my oil filter off of my 96 xj 4.0 l6, but long story short I finally got it off but in the process broke the little black tube shaped electrical connection that is right above the oil filter connected to the pedestal. Does anybody know what this part is called or what it is? I think it is some kind of oil sensor?

 

Yep its the oil sender AZ has them for $12-26 dollars...Tj
