I have a 91 Cherokee 4.0 L - it has a problem starting sometimes, it runs well but stalls occasionally and won't start for a few minutes, it turns over but won't fire
-it does start eventually but it sounds like a fuel problem so I replaced the fuel filter and no change, I also keep at least a half a tank of fuel in it to make sure it's not dredging up debris from the tank bottom.
- it won't start in neutral only in park
- the check engine light comes on every time prior to stalling
- Ive had it into the electrical specialist but he says it would not act up while he had it and so could not locate the problem
also it goes through almost a litre of oil a week but there are no apparent leaks and no smoke
Can anyone give me any info on this?
