Default Hello - and a few suggestions please.

I am new to the forums. Although have read them for a while.

My Cherokee story.

I traded a few of my firearms for an 88 witha 4.0 with the body and interior in great shape. The Drivelines and engine.. are another story.

I am currently working on the cooling system swap from the mess that the 88 had to the 92 standard radiator and whatnot. I found a writeup on it somewhere. I have replaced the from U joints with nice stronger ones.. and wheel bearings with a set off of a totaled Jeep in a local junkyard.. as I couldnt afford the 180 per enclosure they wanted at the local store.

I am about clueless at working on my own vehilces. I have good knowledge of general parts and what they do however as I read a lot. So I trade computer work to local mechanics for time to work on my jeep currently. Which is working out well.

What general upgrades should I look for first.. after i get all my gaskets and hoses and whatever else is leaking oil and water on this beast?

I want to get it built up to be a decent reliable 4 wheel drive. I like muddin more than rock crawling. So any advice would be appreciated! Thanks alot and I love these forums so far theyre been a great deal of help already.

I havent done anything really as far as modding the jeep yet. Its mostly a bone stock 88 cherokee with the 4.0, as far as I can tell dana 30 in front and 35 in the rear, auto.. I dont know much else. Thanks guys n gals!
