Default Heater question

Is there anywhere I can find a heater water flow schematic for 1997 Cherokee heater. I can't get flow into heater coil , any ideas.

I'd guess it's clogged.

Pull both the hoses off and try to run fresh water thru it with a garden hose.

So I have my heater hoses reversed at the heater core? Is this something I should change immediately?

Heater is working fine. I replaced the hoses myself a couple weeks back and just replaced them in the same order the old ones were when I purchased it.

I believe that diagram is incorrect. The 3/4" heater hose, from the t-stat cover, attaches to the upper 3/4" nipple at the firewall. The lower 5/8" nipple at the firewall is the return line to the water pump. The 2 heater core nipples at the firewall are 2 different sizes. Heater hoses r 5/8" and 3/4".

I think so too. At least for my 98. At least, my hoses are arranged how you describe, and my heater seems to work.

Doesn't really mater which hose is connected where at the firewall, the heater should work either way.......just seems like it would be hard sticking a 5/8" hose on a 3/4" nipple or a 3/4" hose would fit really loose on a 5/8" nipple.

That diagram (in the FSM) and the diagram showing tranny fluid flow r wrong......wonder how many others r wrong?
