Heater problems

Heater problems
I have a 2000 model xj. The heater stays as hot as ,well you know. The problem I'm having is that there is no way to control the temp. I changed out the heater control **** thinking it was bad but that did nothing 
. Does anybody have any ideas? Any help would be super.
