Heater Core problems
Hey guys, in need of some help with a potential leak. I have, over the past two years replaced more or less the whole cooling system from radiator, thermostat and water pump, to hoses and even the heater core itself. I did the heater core a few months ago and it appears that it might be leaking. I can visualize coolant leaking when the heat is on and it is coming from what looks like an overflow hose out of the firewall right where the A/C housing sits. I am hoping someone might have some thoughts before I tear into the dash again or give up and sign my soul away to the professionals.

If you definitely have coolant leaking out of the a/c condensation line, there is only one place it can be leaking: Heater core. I feel bad, I just did mine a few weeks back and it was a HUGE job. Hope yours at least has a warranty.

did it myself, even worse almost cause either I bought a shotty part or did something wrong! thanks for the help

Nothing wrong to do in there. The core is one solid piece that runs outside through the firewall where the lines hook to it, so if there is coolant coming out of that a/c con. line, the core inside the heating/cooling box has a leak. That really sucks. What part & where did you get it from? Any warranty on it? I bought mine from RockAuto and it has a 1 year warranty. I figured for the price with a 1 year warranty, oh well. Tons of work, sure, but its an inexpensive job.
