Heated Seats
 

Hey everyone, i purchased a set of heated seats awhile back, and wanted to know if the wiring for the heated seat would already have a connector to the ashtray slot, or if i am going to have to wire up the heat. I know that most XJs came with the power seat wiring attached, i was just wondering if anyone knew if the heated seats wiring was already in thre.

Any one? I'd like to know too, I saw the wires when I took my seats out and have thought about the same deal...

Heated Seats would rock face

I will most likely be looking into this very hard on friday, when i get home for break. I'll let you know my findings.

I'm going to pull the front(passenger) seat and center console, and see what i find.

My brother in law put a set in his 99 The wiring was under the passenger side seat and I know that he had to get the harness that goes from the passenger side to the driver side because that is not in the jeep. Im not sure what else he had to do to make them work but I know he had to switch one of the wires on the heater circuit to make the heater element work.

Could you get any more info on that? Or is that all you have?

It depends on the Year of YOUR Jeep. 97 & 98 did not have the connector/pigtails to make this work, at least it wasn't plug and play. 99+ has the connector for the wiring harness, which includes the power and heat. The pigtail is next to the passenger side front door, under the fascia.

If you have a 98 or 97 it gets more difficult, esp. for the heat, it's not just plug&play like it would be for XJs 99+.

I have a 99 XJ, just bought heated seats for it, and dont get what you mean by "Plug and Play". I see the wire underneath the seat, but its a male connector, and there is also a male connector on the power seat. Where do you get that harness?
