Default Heat problem

I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee...It runs great but if I go out and start my car and let it run for a minute..It doesn't get hot if i put heat on BUT once I start out after a minute and have been pressing on the gas it gets really warm!! Hot...If I am at a stop light for awhile it cools off just a little..Anything I can do to have it heat up abit faster?

Thanks

It takes several minutes for the coolant to get warm enough for good heater performance. Sitting idle just wastes gas and pollutes. The quickest way to warm the motor is drive it, not let it idle.
