headliner removal help.
so, i have all the side trim pieces off. but i cant get the dome light... how do i do this? and also, does it really just pull out the back of the truck?
im a bit confused, and cant find a decent diy

The dome light has those stupid little inverted star clips that slip over the locating post in the center of the light. Take a pair of needle nose pliers and grab the edge of it and turn it as you pull down on it. If you get the clip off without breaking it you can reuse it to reinstall the light. But don't worry about that because you can buy new ones at the parts store.

also, you can guarantee that they cannot be used again, buy new ones if you plan on replacing them, or find another method of attaching it.

If you use a sharp pointed pick, you can get them off and then re-flatten them with plyers allot of the time. if not or they go flying you can get replacements at Ace Hardware, they are called Speed Nuts. There should also be some metal clips along the sides that will need to come off before you can pull the headliner out. Not sure if they are needed for anything other than holding the headliner while you put your trim back in...
