yea, my friend has a yj with a 2 inch and 31s, I routinely own him. I actually don't know anyone with a tj that actually uses it

Y'all take it easy on those stock wranglers.
I had one up until 4 months ago. Mine got me where I needed to go, even with the 4 banger and auto. But I will say, this lifted xj with the 4.0 is much more capable. If I had the 3 inch lift on the yj, it would have been fine.
And yes, the ride is much better in the xj, than the yj.

It's only fair for us cherokee owners to be more bias. Look at some of the wrangler owners, all they do is bash xj owners and continue to think wranglers are always more superior offroad. Stereotypes fail. There was a thread about this a while ago too.

Wheel base played a role there too. There is no perfect wheeling rig. I have see a stock wrangler make it through stuff more easier then a more capable XJ. Been there done that. My old CJ3b will school the longer rigs all day long on tight technical trails, but the XJ will do just the same on rocks or certain sections of a trail. Its mostly based on driver skill and spotter. My buddy has a extremely capable TJ he uses for daily use as well as pounds it on the trails. For me, I would rather have an XJ any day because you can drag more people along, and still have room for the gear in the back where its dry. I have heard this from many wrangler guys who would think about an XJ now that they own a TJ or YJ.
