Default Headlights not working

Just got a 98 XJ and the headlights aren't working nor are the fogs. Parking lights, brake and dash all work fine. Already put a new dimmer switch in and it didn't help. Any ideas? Thanks

Well last night me and my buddy went through and checked them all in the kick panel and the fuse box under the hood so that doesn't seem to be the problem either. I'm thinking the multi function switch on the column maybe?

They went out on my brown 90. I think it has a circuit breaker instead if a fuse. I'm assuming it's the switch, lotta current going through there.

Mine has a button on the top of the switch you push to pull out the ****.

My lower dash panel only has three screws holding the bottom. The ones on the ends can just be loosened due to slots, then the center one behind the ashtray needs to come out. Then 6 or so easy to reach across the top and that's it, comes right free.

We double posted. Does 98 have a regular **** on the dash?

The dimmer switch is the multifunction switch. Did you replace the headlight switch in the dash?

ETA:
Have you checked the headlamp wiring connector by the PCM?

I replaced the pull **** on the dash. And do you mean the one by the airbox? It looked clean to me and seemed to be getting a good connection.

Start by using a DMM or test light to check for 12V at the headlight connector and the presence of a low resistance ground. If no 12V there start back tracing the circuit until you discover the issue.
