headlight conversion

I know this thread has probably been done before, and Ive read alot of them but I still dont understand much about the HID conversion. This is my scenario; i originally had the sealed beam headlamps and when one burned out i went into my spare parts pile and pulled this werid headlamp ive never seen before out of a junk fiero i had. I later found out this was this: http://www.quadratec.com/products/97009_120.htm only not delta ones, just a cheap plastic imitation. I'm guess that this is the H4 bulb conversion? So if they are the H4 conversion, are would these HID bulbs http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=36476 fit the H4 housing that i have? I know they are a cheapo ebay ones but i figured they are worth a shot.

generally putting HID bulbs in a non HID housing will cause a high level of glare and can be hard to adjust. Look at DDMTuning.com for a cheap and decent quality kit if you want to try

its HIGHLY recommended that you get projector housings. if not you'll piss ppl off and possibly get pulled over....

Personally Id just put in a new upgraded harness in and run some silverstars in them. About as bright as you can get. Retrofitting HIDs are techincally illegal in some areas and putting them in a non Projector housing causes glare and will blind people.

thanks for everyones input! I think i'm just going to go with some H4 hella bulbs from 4wheeldrive hardware. They are having a labor day sale on them and i can pick up a set of them for about $13 its 55w low beams with 100w high beams.
