head-scratching no start
Long story short, just finished up replacing the head gasket. Had a local shop flux and rebuild a head I pulled from a junkyard. I followed the FSM instructions to a T. Go to start it and it cranks but no-go.
I have fuel. I have good spark. TPS & CrankPS test out good. Everything worked well before the head gasket replacement, beside the misfire due to the gasket.
I haven't yet checked compression, I'll try to do this tomorrow. Assuming compression checks out, what else should I check?

All the sensors are connected, I checked this about a thousand times.
As far as the grounds go, I only remember disconnecting the one on the very back driver's side head bolt, and it's connected again.

I'd consider testing the "cam sensor" located inside of the distributor.
And if the distributor was taken out, I'd re-index it to make sure you are not 180 degrees out.

Well guys, its running just fine now. Best thing, the fix was free. Worst thing, the bruise on my forehead from when my palm hit it.
I was flippin through the FSM and came across this:
As soon as I saw the distributor, I knew exactly what my problem was. I had the wires on in the right order...1-5-3-6-2-4...but in the WRONG direction. As soon as I put them in the right order in the CLOCKWISE direction...it fired right up!
Moron of the year award goes to....me!
