So on the tip of my dip stick it has a different look to it. I wouldnt say milky but Ill take a picture of it tomorrow but I drained the oil and had no oil in at oil and even when I put the dip stick in and removed it, It still had the milky look to it? What gives?

Theirs no coolant lose and antifreeze green good color to it. What could it be and how could i get rid of it.

I have to ask. Have you taken your XJ swimming lately? When I bought my XJ the owner said they went wheeling it at the lake they were camping at. He said he submerged it pretty deep. So deep that there was sand in the glove box. My dip stick looked very milky when I first bought it. I was very worried about the head gasket or worse Cracked head. Well I did some researched on u-tub and found that adding an additive that helped loosen up all that gunk then changed out the oil. Did this twice now no more milky stuff on the dip stick. Since I knew it was submerged I also went through all the electrical connections cleaning the with CSR electrical cleaner and put Permatex Dielectric Tune-Up Grease on them in case I go swimming some day. I have been very fortunate that the XJ does not have issues due to all the water.

Agreed. Looks like condensation. Get a small funnel and pour a quart in through the dipstick tube (slowly!) when you change the oil. It'll clean the crud out of the tube.

My 1991 looks exactly like yours. I have put 20k on it since i noticed that and nothing has changed. Headgasket has been replaced/ no change.

I actually put some marval mystery oil down the tube and it took away some of the look of it but I hardly drive it. I been told it was probably condensation. Im supposed to sell it tomorrow and I dont wont them thinking its a blown headgasket. Ive change oil couple times and it still done it, but this is the first time adding marval to it and it made a difference to the way it looked.

Take it for a nice hot drive then. Get it up to temp and work the engine for a bit - that'll give the crap a chance to blow/boil away.
