Default hardwiring Stock headlights

Ok so Ive owned my jeep for a few months with no headlights working ( I bought little lights to us ) but a while ago i was told to check everything fuses, grounds, the switch, wires and so on but I was also told that hardwiring the headlights isnt bad at all so I was wondering what I need to power to and best way to run it or even if theres a write up, any help would help so much

Do all of the other lights on the front end work? Turn signals, marker lights?

on my '95 there is a plug that goes to the front end lights that sits under the air cleaner box it is known weak spot and can get very corroded, I don't know when or if they ever deleted it. If you have one try cleaning and refreshing the connections then use a voltmeter to make sure that you are getting voltage at the bulb socket.
