My 95 XJ doors, especially the rear doors are hard to open (very hard to push in the button). My kids cant even open the doors. Opening from the inside is fine. Also the door locks (manual) are very hard to go from lock to unlock. I lubed the latch and striker plate with no change. Everything is adjusted fine and doors do not sag, Its just hard to open from outside. Any ideas??

 

if they open easy from the inside it has to be the door handles ,have you tried disconnecting the rod to them and push the buttons id try spraying them with a silicone based lube it will not attract dust causing gummming up issues

 

No, havent tried that. I guess I should take the door panels and outside handles off and clean & lube everything.
